Twins Update

While we were home I got to go to the doctor with my sister and meet the twins. Well, they were black and white, squirming, and had lines all around them, but still I got to meet them. Since she has twins and is getting late in the pregnancy she has ultrasounds every couple weeks and I got to go. I think it was good that I saw my first one when the boys were bigger and they were doing overall screens because I could totally see the boys. Once I could see both their heads at the same time, very cool. So I know believe their are two boys in their. Here's a picture of her at the hospital as we were leaving.

We had to make a quick run to Costco for Tillamook cheese (yeah we brought a cooler packed with it and dry ice on the plane home). Since Janna isn't suppose to walk right now unless necessary Eric pushed her in the wheel chair rather than her waiting in the car. We had to take a photo (this is inside Costco Carrie, I'm a rebel).

Happy 90th Birthday Grandpa

Look at the strapping young lad.

We travelled back to Oregon this weekend for my Grandpa's 90th birthday party. All but 2 of my cousins and their families were able to attend (my mom is one of 6 so that is a good turn out). It was great to see family we haven't seen in a few years and our family from the area we have missed since moving to Georgia.

My brother Jered, cousin Trevor and Austin playing horse shoes. There was a lot of card games, horse shoes, and general conversation this weekend.

My oldest brother Jamin holding my cousin Brock's son Ian and my neice Makenna. We measured with shoes off and I'm still taller than her by a half an inch, although she's only 12 is still feels good.

Most of the family during the party.

My nephew Jarret and me giving a lovely pose to the camera. Atleast he is cute in this photo.

The Rabe family.

Grandpa and Grandma Wiens (Austin's grandparents) and his sister Erica.

Me and uncle Dave playing games with my cousins Brock and Gerik, with their mom Aunt Rhona in the back ground.

I also got to go to see some friends while in Portland, went to coffee with Yvonne and lunch with my friend Austin. It is great to catch up with our friends while we are in Oregon. Sometime we will have to spend a week or two there and spend time catching up with everyone.

Random Pics of cute animals...

It's hard to be a puppy...

Daisy sits like this sometimes, very odd. It is great for bathing her, she just sits on her bum and Austin can shampoo her belly easily.

Daisy tries to sleep in poses like her cousin Cru, this is a "Prancing Pony."

It's Overish...

The storm wasn't bad, just a severe thunder storm. The lightening is very bright and the thunder is DEAP and loud. I think it is actually kind of fun to watch, open the door and hear the rain pound the ground. However with Bo getting so scared it kind of ruins the fun. We put him in his kennel in our room and crank up the TV to try and cover the noise.

Tonight there has been an industrial explosion at a sugar refiner (they make Dixie Crystal Sugar) ~5 miles from our house. We can see the orange sky lit up from our back porch. Apparently there are ~100 people injured/burned but they have not found any fatalities yet. Good reminder and a bit scary since I work in the industrial line of work. Hopefully everyone will recover fine, but a bit of caos in the area currently.

Storms

There is a "severe weather" storm coming our way tonight. This is the same storm system that caused dozens of tornados around the South this morning as it come our way. Luckily it has settled some and we should just have some heavy wind/rain. At 8:15 it was 77 degree and clear, at 8:28 it is a solid black cloud, loud thunder, bright lightening and the rain has started. Bo is scared of the thunder, he barks deaply at it trying to scare it off so it might be a long night around here.

Update

It's been a while since we have posted. Life at the mill has been rough and I am the designated blogger so the result is no blog. The good news is after working 83 hours last week the stupid machine is running normal again and this week has been nice and relaxing.
Austin has been busy on puppy training. He has daisy pretty much potty trained, she can sit, stay, and come. When she is in her kennel she doesn't bark, but she still barks when she is in her dog run outside.
Soon she will be big enough not to fit through the fence and we can let her play with Bo in the back yard. Which by the way, we finished the first phase of the fence the weekend we got Daisy.

This weekend we went had our friends over, went to Savannah for dinner, cleaned the house, went to a gymnasitics meet and went to a superbowl party. (GO Giants!). That about sums it up.

Here are some pictures from our first training walk with Daisy. This was Sunday afternoon.

I am walking the dog that Austin already trained. I am not so good with the dog training, he is great at it.

We let her go in the lake in our neighborhood. As far as we know this is her first time in the water. She jumped right in and loved it, but while in the water she was a spaz, flopped around like a fish out of water.
