Happy Birthday Daisy

Daisy's Adoption Date was December 28th. To celebrate we went to Hilton Head beach (we adopted her from the Hilton Head Humain Society) with the puppies. It was quit crowded for December, there probably are a lot of visitors over the holiday week. As a result Bo and Daisy did not get to spend as much time off leash as we would like, but they did get a decent run and swim in.

What? I wasn't rolling my head in the sand.

Daisy is a FRUIT CAKE swimmer. She loves the water and runs right in, but doesn't quit get it yet. Swimming is more like flopping around like a fish our of water for Daisy. One man jogging by stopped, took out his head phones and said, "now that I'll laugh at, that's funny." Pictures don't do it justice, but we tried.

Left over Christmas Eve dinner (Hoagie Sandwhiches) made a perfect pic-nic.

Austin and his pupps.

Me and my Buddy.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! We spent Christmas at our friend's house as we did last year.

Notice Austin's new shirt (Thanks Holm's).

Grumpy vs. Regular Santa hat. Austin bought me this hat at the Disney store in New York. He tried multiple times a day while there on vacation to get me to wear it for "warmth." He really just wanted to laugh at me in a Santa hat in New York.

Santa brought Tay an Easy Bake Oven so I helped her make a yellow cake with chocolate frosting, it was actually really good.

After I arrived from work (I had coverage at the mill this week, which has NOT gone well) we spent most the day playing board games and snacking. However we did take a walk to look at some houses that are being built in the next neighborhood and feed the ducks.

It was a nice relaxing Christmas. We ended up eating Christmas dinner Friday night because everyone was full from snacking and we all wanted to keep playing games, not cook.

Merry Christmas Eve

We first took the pups for a walk since we haven't seen them much lately being on vacation last week.

Then to our church's "candle light" Christmas Eve service. Hard to have a candle light service at 5:30 when the sun hasn't set yet! I thought it was humorous.

Then home for dinner and presents. This year for Christmas the puppies each received a new bed filled with toys and treats.

They both are very pleased with what "Santa" brought them. They have been entertained all night.

Pizza Tour

We did our own pizza tour while in New York. The pizzerias we visited included Lombardi's (The first pizzeria in the states) and Rays Original in Little Italy. Each of the above pictures is a different occasion, and I forgot to take a picture at least twice.

And the winner is...

The favorite for both Austin and I was literally right across from our hotel called Angelo's. Although Austin thought it was tied with Lombardi's.

This particular restaurant also had incredible cheese cake!

As a bonus here is a picture of Austin after his first taste of chestnuts freshly roasted on the fire (sold on the street corner stands in New York right next to the hot dogs and pretzels).

They were NOT good.

New York

Below is an assortment of pictures of us in New York. I don't think I'll have time to go into detail on the pictures but this way you get the views without having to feel guilty about skipping over all the writing. We did everything on our list that we wanted to try and do as well as spent the day it was miserably cold, windy and snowing hard inside resting, eating soup and went to the movies (the last movie we went to in the theater was Pirates II and before that was Star Wars III).
