She's Back!

Zachary stood at the front window looking out and started saying, Raj Raj, Raj Raj.  Austin looked out expecting to see a random cat in our yard, and there was Rajah across the street at the neighbors walking toward the house.
She has lost a lot of weight and her coat looks very good.  It has been almost exactly two months since we have seen her.  She must be eating some of the neighbor cats food.  We have some neighbors down the street that have a few outdoor cats.  We gave her a can of tuna and played for a bit.  She has wondered on now, so we have decided she is now an outdoor cat.  We will keep some food on the back porch or the driveway area and if she chooses to come play or eat great.  But it was nice to see her again and just in time for Halloween our black cat is back.

Oh and since I am doing a post why not some cute Pumpkin with pumpkins photos.  He was helping daddy move the pumpkins from the car to the porch last night.

Happy First Birthday Jeremiah!

Jeremiah turned one today, Monday, October 21st 2013.  We took his monthly block photos for the last time.

He is full of energy.  He appears to get very curious and will go after things to understand.  There have been occasions where he will book it all the way across the house to try to see something new that was placed in the room.

He is still very sensitive.  He loves to cuddle with stuffed animals and his taggie.  He will give the most heartbreaking and equally funny pout face and cry if we ever have to tell him no or take something from him.

He has an adorable smirk that he gives me almost every day when I pick him up from school.

He apparently likes to eat blocks, a lot.  If you open this picture up and look closely at his lower right eye you should be able to see the brown spot that has stayed (so far) in his eye.  I call him my brown eyed boy for this reason and I LOVE his bright blue eyes but also love that he has a little spec of his mama's eyes in him.

He is making this face at Austin for taking the block and putting it back down.

Epic battle, be able to read the blocks or let baby play.  You may notice we went up to the large blocks this month.  One of the small blocks is in his mouth.

His favorite friend is undoubtably Zachary.  He will still follow Z around the house and no one can get him laughing the way Z does.  He loves his big brother.

Jeremiah is in the destructive phase.  Anything built, must be destroyed.

Now that we have our little family it didn't seem right to have a birthday without me cooking his favorite meal.  A tradition past down to me from my mom.

He had sweet potato fries, chicken and something new, Martinelli's.  Sweet potatoes are his favorite, the first food he ever ate both in the jar and table food.  He does amazing at eating.  He has never choked on anything we have given him.  Perhaps we are cautious with as much difficulty as Z had swallowing, but I think he is advanced on eating and his size would agree.

Drinking his Martinelli's out of a glass, cause it is fancy.  He drank out of a glass on our plane ride because he was that dehydrated.  He just grabbed it from me and started drinking.  I figured we would try again tonight.  He took it with no problem and thought it was funny.

As soon as some of the apple cider got on his tongue he looked as though he was mad and didn't want the glass anymore.  Not a hit.  I think in future years he will like this treat more.

Then we took some time to open presents and Skype.  Grandma and Grandpa have their Skype working again after a couple years absence which allowed them to watch Bear open his new pajamas which have a beaver brushing his teeth on them, very fitting.

All the presents and attention was rough, he had to rest on daddy's leg for a while.

We also were able to Skype with Aunt Janna and cousins Gabe and Jered.  We missed them the day before at Jeremiah's party (which will be it's own post in the future).  Our internet went down as Jeremiah was eating his birthday cake.

It was nice to have them be part of Jeremiah opening presents.

Showing off his new Giraffe towel from Nana and Papa.

Attacking Giraffe!

Next is a series of picture of him opening his present from Mama and Daddy all on his own.

Yes, a stuffed elephant.  He loved it, we were impressed he was able to open the package on his own relatively timely.  Big brother Z helped with the other presents.

Jere and Daddy

Cuddly 'Miah and his Mama.  He hugs like this for so long, and he is holding on strong.

And then it was all done, bed time was here and he fell fast asleep drinking his good night time bottle and cuddling with his bear.

Happy Birthday Jeremiah!  We love you!

Baby Dedication

Last night at the Saturday night service we were able to say Sarah's prayer and commitment to raising our babies as God's children.

Our senior paster Cam Huxford was present at our campus to do the dedications.

We were not able to do Zachary's dedication last year because we were a little busy with bringing Jeremiah into our family, as a result, both babies were dedicated on the same day.

It was a nice service, our church does a class before hand to go through the biblical perspective on baby dedication and what it means.

Although none of our family was able to be there, we did have our entire small group, the Dolan's and Worley's all come to support us which made the experience more special.
Zachary did well and stayed calm on stage.  The pastors prayer is a long prayer and about half way through he said "in Jesus name Amen."  I started laughing and expected the pastor to mention something about the children not liking his long winded prayers, but he either didn't hear it or chose not to comment.  I suspect the former because he likes to joke around and would have been entertained by it if he heard Z's comment.

Jeremiah started clapping when the audience clapped, our friends didn't notice but he was cracking me up.

After the service we went to the park next to the church and had a little dinner celebration in recognition of the event.

Hot N Ready pizza's were a hit with the kid table and make it easy to get dinner to everyone quickly.

We made these signs in recognition of the event as well.  It has 1 Samual 1:27-28 written on them.

Even is our newest member of small group, born in August of this year.

This is one of the family photos we had taken while at Manzanita beach.  It is the one on the table in the above pictures.  I really like that the photographer did a photo of the boys focussed with Austin and I blurred in the background.  These ones are probably my favorite ones of our family.
