We have wanted to fix up the dining room since we moved in. Paint, new table and new chandelier and wall decorations.
Between the past few weekends we accomplished the painting portion of the project.
The Before picture…

And the after picture….

And the actual finished product…

The color is technically called Merlot from the Lowe’s brand of paint. The way we picked it was by taking a Dr. Pepper can to the store and holding all the samples up against the dark maroon portion of the can.
We found a picture for this blank wall…

But it was at Ikea and wouldn’t fit in our car with all our other stuff for the trip back from Orlando. We we are still in search of a piece of art, dining room table and new chandelier. Although we aren’t looking for the table or chandelier until we have replenished the home improvement budget. You can see Zachary’s little chair that goes on a table chair in the far seat of this above picture. He was doing good at progressing through eating but this past week got a stomach bug and wasn’t able to keep even formula down for a while. So we are almost starting over at the Stage 2 level. There was minimal choking/gagging with his stage 2 lunch.
And here is a picture of him standing in is crib. He started standing up on his own in late January.

He is wearing Christmas pajamas because 1. They fit 2. They are dark so they won’t stain if he gets sick and 3. They are old and hand me down from Holm babies so if I can’t get the smell out that is better than his cure new pajamas.

This piano is the best thing ever. If you have a child around Zachary’s age I would recommend it. When he wakes up in the morning on the weekends he plays his piano for a good 30 minutes before he will start to make noise and wake us up. Most days we go get him while he is playing happily before he wakes us.
