More Parent Visits

Brent's parents were here last week visiting the area for the first time. As is traditional we went out to dinner with them Friday night. We tried to go to Bonna Bella Yacht club which is one of our favorite restaurants but the place was flooded from high tide and a day long storm. The storm was welcomed because October is the driest month of the year and we are in a drought so any rain in October is great. Here are some pictures from our dinner at Fiddler's Crab Shack.

Another historical event for us....last night we made a fire for the first time of the year. Tonight I stopped at Lowe's and bought a new thermostat so we can turn on our heat soon. It is sad to see the warm nights leaving.

Halloween Part 1

Last Saturday we went to a Halloween party with a group of friends at a barn ~40 min further into the country (and we live in the country).

Here's a group shot before we headed out. As you probably can tell Austin is the tall knight and I am a female Robin Hood.

We are slim on pictures because our camera was not working, we plan on starting the shopping process in the near future. Thankfully Libby (Disco girl) sent me this one.

Rain Rain Go Away

As the title of this post suggests it has been raining here...a lot. We moved to Georgia to avoid to long grey rainy days, yet for almost 4 straight days it has been grey and raining A LOT! Everyone here is thrilled because it helped so much with the drought. It is good for Austin and me as well because it reminds us of what it is like to deal with the rain and grey days. Thankfully today it was sunny and blue sky again...finally!

We took advantage of the grey weekend and did a pumpkin carving afternoon with our friends.

Everyone else was long finished when I remembered the camera so Chris finishing up Tay's pumpkin is the only carving shot we took.

Taylor's pumpkin, she actually did most of this, Chris just did the final touches.

Piper's kitty pumpkin.

My classic ghost, Austin did the scraping and cut the lid off for me.

And now let me present to you the best pumpkin ever carved in the history of man kind.

Yeah, that's right, Austin carved this free hand! This is NOT traced as the other pumpkins were. He just looked at the Denver Broncos logo on our pillows (which is shown below for those who don't follow football) and drew it on the pumpkin free hand. He then carved it out.
Unfortunately our good camera is broken and our old camera takes blurry pictures without the flash on. But trust me, it is the BEST pumpkin ever!

Here's the arrangement in the light.

Erica (Austin's Sister) Visits 2

We've been busy with company and work lately so not much has happened here. I have a few pictures from Erica's visit to post for your viewing pleasure.

This is a pirate ship that has been parked on River Street for a week. They just finished the rigging on the ship this summer and this trip from Brunswick was the longest sail so far. It was a bit of a cult ship offering free tours trying to recruit, but interesting to see the boat.
