Grandpa and Grandma Visit
Thursday night Grandpa and Grandma Wiens flew into town to visit with us for a week. Today Austin and them spent the day doing tours around Savannah and then we all met up for dinner downtown.

The Flower bed Project
We did a yard project this weekend, that Austin had to finish today since the mulch place wasn't open on Saturday or Sunday (what? a landscaping business closed on the weekend???).
We added the flower bed on the left side of the house (from the picture view) and took out over grown bushes and installed a few new ones as well as weed cloth and mulch. As usually it is not the final product we would like, but we made a LOT of progress. I was very pleased with his choice in mulch color and shape (it is rubber mulch so it will last more than 6 months and to help avoid bugs). You'll probably have to open the picture to see the full effect. More flowers, bushes to come in the near future.
And for good measure here is a picture of Austin and Brent, well, being Austin and Brent. They did hair cuts while I cooked our Monday night dinner. (Photo courtesy of Bill).

Wastin' Away Again in Margaritaville
Although I have been a long time fan of Jimmy Buffett I have not been fortunate enough to go to a concert of his until this past weekend. Thursday Austin and I went to Atlanta with our friends Steve and Kerri to see his show. The tailgating before hand is almost a competition to see who can have the most ridiculous, yet still beach themed set up.

Kerri and I with our "lovely" glasses as a head band. I couldn't bring myself to put them on.

The show

The concert was at one of the amphitheaters and was a GREAT time! I hope to see him again someday.

Since I had to take Friday off anyway from staying Thursday night in Atlanta we spent the morning at Zoo Atlanta. I wouldn't recommend it. It was quit small and not really impressive. We had fun anyway and then headed home to a weekend of house work.

Happy Easter
Happy Easter everyone. We had an odd Easter with me having to work last minute and us being so busy we didn't have much time to prepare. It turned out great though. Austin went to church with Brent and I showed up ~20 minutes late in my work clothes and boots (classy for Easter Sunday). Then the three of us went to lunch, followed by an afternoon laying in the sun reading and watching the pups play. To end the day we were invited to have dinner at our friends Craig and Libby's house with some delicious food! Hope everyone had a great Easter.

Austin's Birthday Celebration
Austin's birthday was a month ago, but we celebrated this past weekend. To start it all off we went to Orlando Friday night to watch the Cleveland Cavaliers play the Orlando Magic. Austin has wanted to watch LeBron James play for the past few years so I planned this trip last December.

Tiger Woods (walking in the center of the picture) sat near us at the game, that was more entertaining for me than the game.

We stayed at a hotel down town that upgraded us to a suite, this half of the room. We felt like we wasted the space since there were only two of us.

Saturday we drove to Jacksonville and went to lunch with Bill and Brent. Then to the Budweiser Brewery for a tour. We also stopped at Costco and picked up some Tillamook cheese....delicious!
Watching a video on being a brew master. They made it sound like magical people called Chemical Engineers become brew masters. The three of us pictured are all Chem E's and found it entertaining.
The tasting room.
They put on a nice tour. Visitors are allowed to watch the entire manufacturing process through windows throughout the brewery.
Lastly, we are on a kick ball team that plays once a week. It's a blast! Last weekend we played in a rain storm, which added to the fun. It's still warm even though it poured. They'll be some action shots of the entire team in the future.
