Well, it has been awhile....again. We have had so many fun activities together lately and the boys have changed so much, but I will try to catch up on most of them in one random blog post. I will do 4th of July, our recent vacation and maybe some others in their own separate posts.
This was from a while ago, Jeremiah has been teething and he enjoys shoving the cloth in his mouth and biting down hard to relieve the pain.
Super cute, he also rubs his gums with toys. He now has two teeth on the bottom and one on the top that just came in this week. The other top tooth looks like it will showing up in the near future as well.
Zachary is in love with peanut butter. He requests peanut butter almost everyday and for multiple meals (although we don't give it to him for every meal everyday of course).
Oh? Did you notice the wine glass in the picture? It is warm here in the deep south and after a long day outside or at work in the heat the best way to perk back up is either a pickle pop or a glass of pickle juice. This was our early evening snack just after getting home and I was drinking pickle juice. Z asked for some so I gave him the glass. He drank it for about 5 minutes. It was entertaining to watch him set it down perfectly and then take another drink. Just like his mama, loves pickles and even the juice.
This cutie has been a rock star at eating smashed up food. And at giving adorable looks.
It is an entirely different experience feeding him compared to Z at that age. He loves to eat, still squash as his favorite. He is taking on peas and other foods.
Small group ladies night making concentrated laundry detergent and sugar scrub.
Cara (in the blue) and I are converting the others to more natural foods and home made stuff.
Farm day! The farm in our neighborhood had they semi-annual harvest day where they share about composting, growing organic crops and other types of things. It wasn't my favorite actually. The kids did fine and we needed to get out of the house (I'll explain why later).
Two of the small group ladies and their kids came with so that made it more fun.
Did I mention he is adorable? So happy and smiley all the time. I can't remember if we have posted that he is crawling now, but if not...he is crawling now. I was just starting to get worried that he couldn't really sit up on his own but he mastered that skill about a week ago.
While we were at the farm Austin was at the vet with Rajah.
She has been getting brave and going outside some in the past two months. She was out one night when an intense storm came in quickly and hit the area. Then she was gone for almost two weeks and we had thought she had found her way to kitty heaven. But she came back.
And all her tests at the vet came back clean. Austin gave her a bath and we let her back. This is her running around wet after her bath.
Zachary's first baking experience.
Not sure why he is making this face. We made a batch of eggless cookie dough, then scooped it into the normal size balls and placed it in the freezer. We had cookie dough balls available whenever we desired for a couple weeks.
They were delicious, but more importantly was that Z thoroughly enjoyed baking with us and it was good family fun. Why is their shirtless cooking and a sweaty baby boy in the previous pictures you ask?
The compressor on our air conditioning unit failed. And you might guess that air conditioning repair businesses are fairly busy in Georgia during the summer. We were without air conditioning for almost a week. That is why we needed to get out of the house and get to the farm. Even though it was hot outside the fresh air and breeze feels good when it is stuffy and humid inside. I was actually surprised it wasn't worse than it was. After a couple days, a friend loaned us the window unit and it made a world of difference! It kept the bedroom at a perfect temperature a night.
Yes, cute baby and his dada. He is sweaty and tired in the above picture.
And one of my favorite new tricks to keep bugs out of our beverages.
We have been removing plastic from our lives, so this accomplishes both that and keeping the bugs away.
