Oregon Visitors

Roger (from Halsey) and his wife Wendy came out for a meeting at the mill and spent some time before and after vacation with us. They were are tailgating buddies in Halsey and we were able to watch the Beaver game Saturday night together.

The group at the Crab Shack, a very dirty, but fun restaurant

Florida/Oregon Visitors

Our friends Erica, Darin and now Eli moved from Corvallis to St. Augustine a few weeks ago. St. Augustine is ~2 hours south of us. They came and spent a weekend with us while waiting to move into their new home in Florida. It is great to have more friends from Oregon in the area! And I am looking forward to Darin's lasagna!

No Flooding Here

We've had calls and e-mails about the flooding in Georgia (which we are glad people are concerned). So to let you know we are fine, it is sunny blue skies and dry land below. We did have record rainfall this August, but all the flooding is in Atlanta area.

P-Town Day

Dinner at Laurelhurst Pizza and Brewery with our friends. The waitress took the picture, it is blurry and worst of all she completely missed Dan! Dan was Austin's roommate in college and friend since grade school as well as Gille (bottom left). Thanks to everyone for meeting us so we could see you, even if it was quick.

From left to right, Gille, Austin, Janna, Gabe, Jered, Janelle, Andrea, Eric and what would be Dan Murray.

Cru modeling some of the Beaver gear Austin bought while in Corvallis. This is a present for Daisy, yes it is a dog hoodie. Please feel free to make fun of this in the comments.

We also went for a bike ride with Janna and the boys for the afternoon.

Sand Castle BBQ

Kirby and Megan were kind enough to have us over for a day and threw a classic Sand Castle BBQ with many of our friends. It was a great relaxing time.

Jeff, Meg Austin and I went to the OSU book store and spent 1.5 hours there led by Austin buying Beaver gear.

Family Day - Afternoon

In the afternoon we had a BBQ at my parents house with all of my immediate family.
Family picture at the park near their house.
Again I'm having trouble with the comments, but I'm sure you can figure out which comment is intended for which picture.
The picture includes on the top left, the other Daisy, Allison (the most recent additions to our family) with Jered, then Makenna, Jarret and Austin, then me holding Cru and Papa. On the bottom left is my oldest brother Jamin, then Grandpa, Mom, baby Jered, Janna, baby Gabe and Eric.
This ones worth opening in my opinion.

Walkin' to the park

It rained off and on lightly most the day so we huddled under my parents back patio to socialize and eat. It was very nice, cool and relaxing.

Toby, Yvonne and their son Calvin with us.

Family Day - Morning

We were able to have a day in Salem spending quick, but nice time with our families. In the mid-morning almost every member of Austin's extended family in the area met up for a Brunch at Orchard Heights Winery in West Salem. I was so involved in chatting and catching up with everyone I didn't take too many pictures but here are a few.

Cousin Katherine and our brother Ryan

Our youngest cousin Callie and a little of Uncle Mark

Aunt Sue, Uncle Tom, cousin Kyleah and Mom

One of the "young" twin boy cousins (I can tell them apart after a while of being with them, but can't tell in this picture), with Grandpa and Grandma

Dad, Justin (one of the "older" twin cousins) and Austin

It was so wonderful to see everyone!!!! And so nice of everyone to make it fit into their holiday weekend plans.

The Main Event

The main purpose of our trip to Oregon was the wedding of our Friend's Chad and Kristin. They had a beautiful and meaningful wedding in downtown Portland. We would have loved to see them more, but they were obviously quit popular this weekend.

(I can't get the comments to line up with pictures, but I'm sure you can figure it out)

Kristin and I were lifeguards and swim coaches together in high school and college.

Austin and Chad.

A

Who's that handsome man?

Austin REALLY wanted a cupcake, Chad and Kristin weren't really interested in them, so she finally gave in and ate one with him so he wouldn't feel guilty having the cake before the bride.

Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Kristin! So glad we could be there with you!

Oregon Visit

We arrived in Oregon Friday morning and have so far spent time visiting with Janna and Eric and the boys.

Last night we were able to meet up with Maria and Gary for a quick visit and dinner at Caldera in NE Portland. We sat outside at their comfortable patio, it was nice that there were no bugs (a little cold and a few drops of rain though).

Janelle and Maria (college roommates)

I thought we took a picture of the 4 of us together, but unfortunately this is the only photo of Gary we have on our camera. Just for clarification, Gary is Maria's husband (Janna).

Janelle and Mr. Gabe relaxing in the morning before going to breakfast.

Eric and Jered at McMenamins Kennedy's School. We ate at the main restaurant on their campus, I highly recommend visiting or staying at the Kennedy School if you are in Portland.
