When we moved to Georgia, Janna and Holm got us a book called Best hikes with Dogs, Georgia and South Carolina. We tried out another one yesterday on Hunting Island.
Before heading out here is a pictures of our little island princess Daisy. It has been unseasonably cold for the past few days, although we were spared of all the snow like other areas. Yesterday’s high was only 54 and the low was 28 in the morning.
So she won’t sit on the ground, she sits in the fire bowl that has a towel for wiping sand off them in it. She also does this if it is raining hard and the porch is wet at all.
Hunting Island is just North of Hilton Head Island but takes about an hour to drive there from our house.
The view of the puppies during the drive.
Austin and the puppies along a dead palm tree area of the trail.

Austin and Bo coming out of the woods into the beach portion
Daisy and me playing on the beach
We have heard that this is a good place to go camping, so we walked to the campground area as well to scope it out.
Here is a view of some of the sites just inside the trees on the beach. It appears to be a fantastic place to camp so hopefully next Fall we’ll be able to make a weekend trip camping here.
Pups enjoying some water back at the car.
We stopped in Beaufort (Hilton Head) to eat at our favorite pizza place. It is a New York style restaurant that reminds us of the pizza tour in New York.
