Nana and Papa are Here

DSCF0494

Zach showed off his smiles right away.  This is a long post, so get a glass of sweet tea and relax.

We spent a lot of time chillin’ on the back porch…

Going out to dinner…this is The Skull Creek Boat House on Hilton Head, highly recommended.

For a couple of the afternoons Nana watched Zach and enjoyed cold beverages so Papa and I could work in the yard.

One project we did was to take a dirt area just outside our window (in the upper right of the above picture and in the below picture).

And turned it into a nice seating area with our fire pit and BBQ.

It also opened up our covered porch area and makes it much more usable.

Papa taught me how to lay the brick on the left of the picture and we laid it together, despite him not wanting to wait around for me in my slow southern pace.

Then we put down weed cloth and filled the area with rocks.

Finally we hosed down the rocks and taught the dogs to stay out at the same time.  Those that know Bo can understand how well we have been doing with dog training looking at this picture of me spraying the hose on high power and him sitting and watching.

Nana, Papa and Zach enjoying the new seating area (without the lemon tree yet).

And his lady skills, winking at the camera He reminds me of Jefferson in this picture.

They were here over Cinco de Mayo and came along to the local restaurant to celebrate with our friends.

We spent the evening on the outdoor patio area where they had dancing.

Nana watched Zach.  It was pretty cold that night (yes Andy it was only 73) so he was bundled up and looked like a cute little guy.

Papa kept the dancing going (shocking).

Giving Nana a hug good bye and not happy about it.  We spent today getting the guest area ready to go for the next visitors since we are heading out of town for a little while and when we get back Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Ryan will be here.

What a wonderful time we had!! Zach is such a sweet, good baby! As I looked at those pictures, he really is looking like his Daddy - so of course, he's a handsome little guy too!
We are already counting the days until we can see him again!

It looks like a very happy time! And also very clever how you created the new seating area in the backyard.

He DOES look like Jeff in that photo! I was saying it to myself because I saw the photo before I read the description.

What a fun time you all had. Yay for family! He is just so sweet, looks like a mellow but observant little guy. Can't wait to see him. Love that smile!
