Thanksgiving

We had some friends over and had traditional feast for Thanksgiving this year.  Along with all the normal fixing I made a ham to make sure we had good meat and Austin did a new recipe with the turkey.

Austin fried a turkey for the second year, here he is injecting a Cajun seasoning broth into the turkey for flavor (it turned out great and moist).

I like how Austin is handling the tricky task of putting the turkey in the hot oil wearing the ever so safe combination of shorts and flip flops.

Yeah, that was pointed out. The safety glasses he got out in an attempt to be safe were sitting on the patio table behind him as well. Brilliant.

The whole combination of shorts and flip flops just doesn't seem like Thanksgiving - safety or not!
But it does look fun!
