Final Move and Thanksgiving

We went to Oregon to complete the final move out of our house in Eugene. GP provided a moving company to pack all of our things into boxes and then onto the truck so it was a lot of paper work for us and then the final cleaning. It is however difficult to have all of your things shoved into boxes and JAMMED onto a truck. There wasn't quit enough room on the truck for everything so the last 20 boxes or so were smashed in. They literally put a tie down on the back of the truck load and tightened down to try and squeeze the load and allow more room in the back. Some boxes were even put in the cab of the truck and our patio furniture was strapped on the side of the truck.

This trip was great timing because it allowed us to spend Thanksgiving with family. We stayed at Kirby and Megan's Tuesday after we left Eugene and spent some time Wednesday with Meg and Jeff. This is the only time on the trip we took pictures so that is all you get, but Jeff and Austin are great buds and take some cute pictures together. Then we had dinner with a group from the mill in Albany and went to my parent's house for Thanksgiving.

Friday was spent at Austin's parents house with a second "Thanksgiving" dinner with Austin's "favorite pizza in the world" in place of the turkey. Then up to Portland to visit with my sister, brother in law, their dog and their twins in development and a long uneventful plane ride home.
