Nana and Papa's Visit

A few hours after Jeremiah was released from the hospital on Dec 1st Nana and Papa landed at the Savannah Airport to visit with us and meet Jeremiah.  It was great to have their help since we were in a busy time, but unfortunate that their visit came when we were stuck at home with a sick baby.

After they settled in they gave Zachary his first Christmas present of the year, a portable light switch box Papa made for Zachary.  As you can tell from the photo he was VERY excited about flipping the switch.  He had a non stop smile on his face just walking around holding it.

Papa and Jeremiah in his Teddy Bear outfit preparing for an evening walk to look at Christmas Lights.

Nana and Zachary picked up pine cones on a few our their walks and then decorated one big one with green frosting and pearl sprinkles we had in the cupboard to make a Christmas tree.  They added some cotton to our empty centerpiece to make it a beautiful centerpiece.

We also got our real Christmas tree set up and ready for Christmas.
(I am trying to blog using the blogger website directly and it is not going very well, so this might be a little out of order)

Ready for a nap after all the hard work setting up the tree.

But he stayed up long enough to decorate the tree.

And showing off the final product.  It didn't last like this.  The top strand of lights failed and I became tired of putting ornaments back on the tree from wherever Zachary left them so they all progressed to the top half of the tree.

Christmas baby ready for our Christmas with Nana and Papa.
The babies opened presents from Nana and Papa as well as from the Holm's.

I think his Beaver house slippers were in this bag.  He was a lot of fun this year for Christmas!

We spent the week playing with the babies at home, lots of reading and walks.  Mom watched them a few times so I could go get my hair cut, oiled changed, etc.  It has been difficult for me to stay home for so long, severe case of cabin fever and having the chance to get out some was much needed.

Z man climbed up on the couch and cuddled up to Nana so I had to get a picture.

It was such a special time for us! Z was such fun and so good and it was so nice to get to meet Jeremiah even if we had to stay home. Sure hope he bypasses the flu!!
