2014
Happy New Year to our friends and family!
Family 2014 List
- Go Camping
- Go for a family weekend trip island style
- Potty train Zachary
- Spend a day bike riding on an island
- Teach Z to ride a peddle bike
- Family trip to the Aquarium and Lego Land (this one is already planned so it is kind of cheating)
- Make wall ruler and measure boys as they grow
- Grow something in our garden
- Organize the babies "memory boxes" and baby books
For New Year's Eve day, the kids and I played during the day while Austin was at work. We spent some time at our friends house. Austin helped "Santa" build their new play set last week and Z enjoyed playing with them on it.
We had a dinner of everyone's favorites or at least what people felt like eating last night. Jeremiah requested Saltine crackers and yogurt. Zachary requested applesauce (which most other people would call Geek yogurt) and happy birthday Daisy (which most other people would call cupcakes for Daisy's sixth birthday that we celebrated last weekend). We also had pizza and tator tots and Martinelli's.
Despite the hurt puppy dog look on his face, he requested to wear the hat like mama.
And so did Jeremiah.
After dinner we went to our friend's house for a standard Georgia oyster roast and bomb fire New Year's Eve.
Austin thought it was humorous that they were roasting marshmallows in the fire. He said in order to actually roast a marshmallow you would have to roast your face. The kids enjoyed fake roasting marshmallows anyway.

We came home and put the babies to bed around 8. Thankfully they both slept through all the fireworks. We loaded up on junk food and watch shows, but ended up going to bed before mid-night.
New Year's Day we did some shopping in the morning and are relaxing around the house for the rest of the day. Zachary and Jeremiah were able to go to pick out a toy from their cousin's Kenna and Jarret for Christmas. Z picked out a remote control train that fits onto the train rails he has already.
He hasn't put it down since we arrived home.
And to look back at all our blessings in 2013 we read the New Year's jar items today. It is amazing how much changes in a year. Many items in there were Z learning to talk and point things out like "moke atectors." It was a fun new tradition we added to 2013, although I was the only one who wrote any items in the jar, we will see if others participate in 2014 now that they see the benefit.
Happy New year to you all and welcome to my favorite time of year. I have 2-4 weeks where I can organize and talk about organizing as much as I like and other people are actually somewhat interested. After that timeframe I am weird again for the rest of the year.

Just got home and got caught up on all the blogs! Looks like so much fun - can't wait to do some fun activities with all of you!
Here in the NW we have bonfires. I bet a southern bomb fire is much cooler.
